Graduate Intern - Academic Assistant (Sport Coaching, Development and PE)

Variable hours (mainly during term time)

Grade 4, £11.03 + 12% holiday pay per hour

Fixed Term Contract for 2 years

This role will assist Plymouth Marjon University with the delivery and preparation of academic teaching activity. The post holder will support academics and marketing colleagues with a variety of recruitment activity across the programme areas.  The hours will mainly be academic term time and some flexibility will be required to assist with the lecture timetable. The focus of the role will be to assist in the delivery and preparation of academic teaching activity, and to ensure the facilities and resources delivered from the Marjon Sport and Health Centre are prepared with the appropriate equipment for academic teaching sessions.

This post will also provide paid employment whilst completing a Masters degree normally part time over 2 years. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience and knowledge across a broad range of practical lectures, whilst improving on your own personal development. The role would suit someone who has an interest in teaching and delivery, has excellent time management skills and is looking to improve their skill set and academic profile / qualifications.

Academic Graduate Interns will be required to study a University Masters with a fee discount of £3500.  In addition, and as an employee as well as a student of the University, Academic Graduate Interns will receive payment for the hours worked supporting the subject area.
