Dyslexia Awareness Week

Dyslexia Awareness Week 2016 takes place from 3rdOctober in England, Ireland and Wales, and the theme for this year is the 'Identification of Dyslexia'. Getting assessed and actually knowing if you might be dyslexic is a huge issue at any stage of an individual's journey. Dyslexia being a hidden disability can make identification difficult and we know that undiagnosed dyslexia is very common, with far too many people going into adulthood not aware that they have this learning difficulty. For this year's Dyslexia Awareness Week we want to prompt people to think and consider if they could be dyslexic. Knowing if you are dyslexic can be a positive catalyst for change in a person's life and therefore we would advise any student who has any questions regarding dyslexia to call into Student Support.
