Turnitin – Help! My assignment file size exceeds the 40 MB limit

If your assignment contains any images, scanned images, tables or diagrams, then (unless you have compressed images prior to adding them to your assignment) there is a high probability that the file size will exceed the Turnitin 40 MB limit and you will not be able to submit.

So, what can you do?  Well, if you are ready to submit your assignment and realise that the file size is too large, there is a quick solution that doesn't involve any rework.  Microsoft Word (for both PC and Mac) has a tool that will reduce the file size for you by compressing any high resolution images contained within your assignment.
