Breasting the Tape

Most third-year students should be well into their dissertation by now and so the ‘Going for Gold’ promotion has come to an end. With attendance for the library-based sessions up by 60% on last year, we hope we’ve helped more of you improve the mark you’ll receive, as well as saved you time and effort!

However, although ‘Going for Gold’ has finished we’re still here to support you if needed. To that end we’re introducing something we’re calling ‘Going for Gold – The Final Lap!’ to help see you across the finishing line. So, for instance, if you’ve completed your project and analysed your data but now feel you could have done a better job of your literature review, then come and see us. We can help with all aspects of searching Discovery, evaluating information, accessing journal articles, or anything else connected with finding information. For other topics related to dissertation support see Helen’s post here: http://hub.marjon.ac.uk/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=724#p768 and Mersedes’ post here: http://hub.marjon.ac.uk/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=738#p782

Steve will be on the Enquiry Desk in the Library every weekday lunchtime (excluding Bank Holidays) from 12:30pm to 2:00pm. These drop-in sessions will run from today until dissertation hand-in, so feel free to pop along for help and advice.
