eFEST is coming! Don't miss out!
by Jade Dyer - Tuesday, 4 April 2017, 9:10 AM

Hot off the heels of our last fantastic eFEST programme is our next offering coming to you this April. Don't miss out on all the great sessions that we've put together as part of spring's programme running from 24th-28th April 2017.

On the first day you can take part in our Mindful Monday's Free Swim, which is taking place at various times throughout the day. You can enjoy the benefits of a free swim as therapeutic exercise for your mind, body and soul to set you up for the week ahead. There will also a session at midday about 'Crime and your personal safety', to help you avoid victimisation at home, work, university and on nights out.

Our focus on Tuesday is to help you perfect your CVs so that you feel confident using them to apply for jobs and other opportunities. We'll be holding two CV Drop In sessions across the course of the day. Feel free to pop by and we can help you to work on your CV.

Are you a good team player? How well do you communicate with others? If you think you've got what it takes, you can take part in our fun, interactive Pitch Perfect session on the Wednesday on the Quad at 10am. There will also be a WOW Drop In and Games Session in the Dining Hall between 11:00-12:00 if you want to pop by for an informal chat along with getting involved with some games.

If you've been thinking about starting an Edublog (and if you haven't, you should be!) but need a little help getting started, then Thursday is the day for you. There will be three sessions running across the course of the day. The first is 'Getting Started with Edublogs (Part 1)', which is aimed at anyone new to the platform or who would like to revisit the basics. The second is 'Using Edublogs to record your employability journey', which will explain how you can use the platform to record your experiences and make yourself more employable. The third is 'Advanced Edublog functionality (Part 2)', which is great for those of you who have an Edublog but would like to find out more about the advanced features that are available to improve your Edublog. It will also be an opportunity to work on and develop your Edublog with help on hand from the team. We'll also be running our popular Grand Designs workshop, a creative session which will put your brain to the test. You'll use Lego as part of a building challenge to learn how to communicate, listen and work together to be successful.

As the week winds down we'll be holding one more final WOW Drop In & Games Session between 11:00-12:00 so please feel welcome to stop by the Dining Hall if you have any queries that need answering, or just want to have some fun.

All of these activities are free, and you can book your place via The Junction's Event page here:
