Fairtrade Fortnight

Marjon is a Fairtrade University. This means that the Fairtrade organisation have recognised the efforts students and staff undertake to ensure that people are paid a decent amount for the products they produce. The Fairtrade mark also commits us as a body to, wherever possible, purchasing Fairtrade goods. Next time you go to a meeting, you'll notice all of the tea, coffee and biscuits are Fairtrade in origin, the reason Starbucks got the contract here is because they are committed to Fairtrade.

To celebrate Fairtrade we're hosting a bake off in the canteen at 12.30. £1 buys you a taste of multiple cakes and you get to crown our star baker! All monies go to the food bank.
