Time: 0930 – 17:30

Venue: Seminar Room in the Sport Centre

Training provided by Active Devon

 

This course is available to all staff who would like the opportunity to participate in FAA Level Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF) course. All attendees will be given the skills and knowledge to deliver Emergency First Aid, and to provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner. The syllabus covers the following:- 

Responsibilities and reporting                                Minor injuries

Bleeding control                                                    Assessment of the situation

Burns                                                                   Dealing with an unresponsive casualty

Choking                                                               Basic hygiene in First Aid

Epilepsy                                                               Anatomy

Shock                                                                   Resuscitation  

For this course run we need a minimum of 10 attendees, so if we do not get enough we will have to cancel at short notice. This course is limited to 12 places on each date and places will be allocated on first come first serve basis.  There is a charge of £45 per person, so if you are staff an SD1 will need to be completed and returned to your HR advisor prior to registrationAlso you would need to book your place by the following link
