Thank you for your Chatback comments regarding the temporary closure of the swimming pool. During the recent adverse weather, a number of pipes that control the pool air and water temperate burst. This forced the closure as the water temperate dropped to 21 degrees (the pool normally operates at 29/30 degrees). Engineers have been working on this issue daily since the University re-opened. Heating a large amount of water like this during cold weather is quite a complex matter and we don’t want you to catch hypothermia!
We appreciate this was a frustrating situation but the pool has now re opened. Please keep using Chatback, we love hearing from you.
