Important changes to the dissertation submission process
by Claire Stevens - Friday, 5 January 2018, 4:06 PM

This year, as a result of student feedback, there are some changes to the way you will be submitting your dissertation.

Previously

Two printed & bound copies, submitted to the Student Administration Office
One stripped down electronic copy submitted via Turnitin, with all images, tables & appendices removed.

Now

One printed & bound copy, submitted to the Student Administration Office
One full electronic copy submitted via Turnitin.

Why have we made the changes?

We listened to student feedback about the cost of having to submit two copies, and the inconvenience of having to strip down the electronic copy for Turnitin.

What else do you need to know?

Copy Shop will be offering a full print and bind service this year, whereas before they only offered binding. For more information, just pop into Copy Shop for a chat with Jane and Sara.

Don’t forget as well, if you attend the Going for Gold sessions that are run by the Library and ITT&S, collect 3 stamps and then you can get your dissertation bound for free!

For further information on the submission of Dissertations/Honours Projects, please see the Student Handbook guidance.
