FREE Rural Skills Training Day
Tues 11 Oct – Come & learn how to use traditional tools and green wood to craft and create your own musical instrument with ‘Greenwood Music’. Places are limited, please book in advance.
Thurs 6 October - ‘Bodies on the Moor’ by Simon Dell. 7pm arrival for refreshments, 7.30pm-8.30pm talk. £3 per person. Please book you place in advance.
Tues 25 Oct – 11am-3pm – Short talk on ‘Burrator past, present and future’ followed by a guided walk around some key areas of interest. Organised in partnership with DPA. £3 per person. Please book your place in advance.
Wed 5 Oct - 9.30am-11.30am - Forest Fun Session for parents/carers & toddlers with Ann & Geraldine, on the Lower Lawn.
Tues 25 Oct – 10am-4pm - Following on from the success of the Tuesday sessions in August we are holding a Family Half Term Holiday to take part in a range of fun outdoor wildlife themed activities. Please drop in between 10am-4pm. £1 per person
Sun 30 Oct – 10.30am-12.30pm – Family Wildlife Watch Session. Wear outdoor clothes and footwear, meet at the Discovery Centre, £1 per person. Hot chocolate & biscuits provided.
Mon 31 Oct – Our annual Halloween ‘Spooktacular’ Event with lots of traditional Halloween games, night walk and spooky storytelling. Organised in partnership with Ranger Ralph team at DNPA. £1 per person. Please get in touch for more details and to book a place.
Burrator Discovery Centre Opening Times for October:
Weekdays: Every Tuesday, Wednesday (except for Wed 12th as we will be at Goosey Fair) & Thursday – 10am-4pm
Weekends: Sat 1, Sun 9, Sun 16, and Sun 30 October.
